That is exactly what our innovators have been doing.What is UniPod?UniPod Botswana is a space where innovators, students, researchers, and entrepreneurs can explore ideas, build solutions and access mentorship, training and prototyping support.What is the Wadhwani Ignite Programme?
Wadhwani Ignite is a practical, 14-week entrepreneurship programme that helps innovators test their ideas, understand customers and build stronger ventures. The programme is delivered in partnership with Wadhwani Foundation.
Milestone 1: Problem Discovery - COMPLETED
Since launching on 28 August 2026, 31 projects and startups have joined the journey. Our innovators have been in the field: asking questions, testing assumptions and learning directly from the people they hope to serve. Every Friday, they come together either physically or virtually to share progress, receive feedback and plan their next steps.Some ideas were strengthened. Others needed refining. Some are pivoting.And that is a good thing. Innovation is not about getting it right the first time; it is about listening, learning and building better.
What's Next?
The cohort moves into Customer Validation and Problem–Solution Fit, digging deeper into customer needs and shaping solutions that truly respond to them. Fourteen weeks. Different journeys. One shared goal: building ventures rooted in real problems and real needs.We are proud of how far our innovators have come, and we are excited for what they will build next.
